Often a homeowner may not notice an issue, especially if there is more than one system in a home, where a problem could be masked by the other system(s).
Our technicians perform a VISUAL inspection, looking for burnt wires, loose insulation, heat-treated components, etc.
ELECTRICAL and MECHANICAL components are tested for starting/operating amperages, hot-spots, loose connections, and signs of wear.
COILS are inspected for overall condition, looking for airflow blockages, rust, etc.
REFRIGERANT pressures are tested to ensure the system is properly cooling/dehumidifying, and not causing icing or damage to the compressor.
CONDENSATE piping or pumps can be inspected to ensure no clogs are present, where any water back-up can damage rooftops, drywall, or flooring, and rust out drain pans.
If any of our data is outside normal operating parameters, the equipment can be under undue stress, utility bills could be higher, and the issue can quickly escalate into a major and expensive repair (or replacement), or system failure. We maintain detailed records and compare to prior years to know if something becomes abnormal for your system, and how to plan accordingly.
